SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT
Your first appointment is our opportunity to begin getting to know each other. I really believe that it is essential for you to feel you have connected with the right therapist. When you come in, we will address the reasons you are seeking therapy and what goals you want to accomplish. Before coming in, please download the following form and send it to me before our session via e-mail or fax it to 781.777.1108.
PRIVATE PRACTICE HOURS
My private practice hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30am until 6:30pm by appointment. I also offer video web conferencing sessions using Skype or FaceTime.
FEES AND METHODS OF PAYMENT
I charge $150 per hour for individuals and $200 per hour for couples. I do accept some clients if I have room in my practice on a need basis for sliding scale fees. You can pay for services with cash, check or credit card. If you have other questions, please give me a call at 781.777.1172
WHAT ABOUT INSURANCE?
I do not take insurance. If you have a PPO (preferred plan option) which allows you to go out of network, I am more than happy to provide you with receipts with regard to your sessions. If you choose to file the claims and seek reimbursement from your insurance company, those summaries will contain all of the proper codes and diagnosis needed to process it.
It is your responsibility to check with your insurance company to determine whether the services you are seeking are covered, what the limits are to that coverage, what deductible you have before they reimburse you and at what rate. All mental health insurance companies require a psychiatric diagnosis, and sometimes, something as benign as an adjustment disorder, can impede your ability to obtain life insurance or even medical insurance if you are self-employed.
CANCELLATION / NO SHOW
Please keep in mind that when you reserve time for your appointment, I am also reserving that time for you. When you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment please call at least 48 hours in advance; that allows me to try to get a client who might be waiting for an appointment to fill that slot. Late cancellations and No Shows will be billed at the full rate for the time scheduled.
